Biography
Candace D. Armstrong founded Armstrong Law Offices LLC in 2010 with a passion for the clients she serves. Candace focuses her practice on customized options and solutions for each individual client. Candace serves businesses of all sizes, farmers and agricultural industry parties, individuals and select government entities. Her practice is transactional based (meaning outside of court) providing legal advice, contract documentation, business formation, strategic structures, creative solutions and conflict resolution in the areas of business, real estate, agricultural law, contracts, probate and succession planning.
Candace began her career working on complex transactions with large corporate clients at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago. Since founding Armstrong Law Offices LLC, she has had the opportunity to diversify her client base to the most interesting of people and businesses. Based in rural Indiana, Candace has had the opportunity to work on diverse matters, touching more countries and industries, with the best people. Combining the intense training from “big law” for corporate America with the more unique client base of Armstrong Law Offices LLC, Candace has the experience to handle your legal needs.
Business Experience
Candace comes from a family of business owners and has provided legal counsel to businesses her entire practice. As a business owner herself, she understands the balance needed between reality and ideally. Candace advises clients both from her vast legal knowledge as well as practical experience on options that may work. Candace has represented businesses of all sizes from the earliest start-ups to long-established companies. She collaborates with other professionals that serve these businesses on a regular basis to ensure all bases are covered.
Ag Law Experience
Living in rural Indiana surrounded by row crops and cattle, agriculture is a way of life and an integral part of Candace’s legal practice. Candace represents farmers, farm operations, landowners, family units and companies that serve the agriculture community. She’s combines her extensive business experience with knowledge of ag specific needs to provide comprehensive services to her clients. For over a dozen years, Candace has been combining her extensive business experience and legal knowledge to the unique needs of the agriculture community. Candace has presented at multiple agriculture law continuing education programs for attorneys.
Mediator Experience
Candace is a licenses civil mediator and is available to mediate all matters, except family law (e.g. divorce). She particularly enjoys using her agricultural law and business experience to mediate matters related to family farms, agriculture businesses, general businesses or estate disputes. Community Involvement
Candace believes in community involvement and service. Candace is currently an elected member of the Board of Trustees for South Newton School Corporation, as well as a board member and officer for the Jasper Newton Foundation, Inc. Candace is an active member of the Indiana State Bar Association and encourages all attorneys to explore the ISBA. She is a former Treasurer of the ISBA and District 5 representative of the Board of Governors. Candace is grateful to have been a part of the inaugural class of the Leadership Development Academy of the ISBA.
